Before you come

The good kind of simple still needs clear rules.

This page gives first-time visitors the basics. Your confirmed booking, waiver, payment, check-in pass, and current condition notices come through your confirmation messages.

Check-in

Arrive through the marked entry lane, park only in posted areas, and check in before heading to the creek.

  • Bring the check-in pass
  • Keep the responsible adult with minors
  • Ask before entering private or work areas

Parking

Parking capacity can limit public passes even when the creek has room. Overflow, roadside, and unmarked parking should not be used unless staff opens it.

  • Keep lanes open
  • Respect neighbors and work access

What to bring

Bring water shoes, towels, sunscreen, a chair or blanket, drinking water, and anything your family needs for a simple creek day.

  • Pack out trash
  • Use marked picnic areas
  • Bring medication or accessibility needs with you

Creek safety

Five Mile Creek is natural water with changing depth, rock, current, weather, and footing. There is no lifeguard, and minors need active adult supervision.

  • No drop-offs
  • No unattended minors
  • Stay out during high water or storm holds

Weather holds

Access can pause for rain, flooding, lightning, water condition, maintenance, construction, parking, animal safety, private stewardship, or staff safety judgment. The Valley sends current notices.

  • Watch texts and email
  • Use reschedule or refund choices
  • Do not enter closed areas

Accessibility

The Valley is an outdoor creek property with gravel, grass, natural grade, and changing surfaces. Guests should share mobility needs before arrival.

Operating notes

Launch rules guests should know.

Public day passes

50 public passes per operating day. Adults are $20, children 6-12 are $10, and children 5 and under are free but still count toward capacity.

One-person visits

A single adult can buy one day pass. The booking flow starts at one adult by default.

Operating hours

Friday through Sunday and posted holiday creek days, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, unless The Valley posts a different window.

Meals

Meal service is included only on scheduled cookout days. If grill service is not posted for the selected date, the pass is admission only.

Overnight stays

RV Retreats are $95/night, primitive campsites are $25/night, and the Bell Tent is $125/night. Deposits and availability holds are handled during confirmation.

Member access

Member visits are separate from public day passes but still follow the 75-person total property safety capacity, waiver, check-in, and closure rules.

Current truth

The confirmation carries the current reservation record, waiver, payment status, check-in pass, and closure notice.
